CTPs, whether native or non-native English speakers, often need to interact clearly and confidently in English with multi-national project teams, colleagues, PIs (Principal Investigators), Sponsors and associates (internal and external) from global CRO’s (Contract Research Organisations), offices, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, universities and other sites.
In addition to language, regional accents and dialects, they face the challenges of working across time-zones, encountering unfamiliar cultures, behaviours, attitudes and values, as well as dealing with technical issues affecting remote/virtual communication.
It is inevitable that these factors can detract from constructive collaboration, leading to misunderstandings which might cause delays, frustration, lack of timely cooperation, damage to working relationships or even cancellation of trials due to poor statistical reporting, low patient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances which had not been communicated clearly in advance.
Our soft skills courses offer existing and potential CTPs at all levels of seniority and experience the opportunity to embrace additional tools and techniques to bridge these gaps; avoid misunderstandings and roadblocks along the way and assure a cohesive and cooperative approach across the industry to bring global clinical trials to a successful conclusion.
Each course is 3.5 hours during a morning or afternoon and can be booked individually, in pairs, or as a complete set of four sessions on two successive days.
Until classroom training is permitted at one of our venues, we will be delivering workshops virtually.
This workshop offers skills, tools and techniques to improve your own communication, enhance relationships and help others to connect with you more effectively in order to resolve issues quickly and constructively.
You will discover that communication must be a two-way process and how control language helps to clarify what others are saying. Listening and questioning techniques also contribute greatly to becoming a more accomplished communicator.

This workshop provides skills, methods and guidelines to express yourself clearly and concisely to ensure your business writing is easy to read, understand and act upon.
Whether you are writing an email, letter, report, meeting minutes, proposal or Bid Defence, you need to focus on your objective and tailor the content to your recipient(s).
You need to use appropriate language to explain your meaning confidently without room for misinterpretation, and ensure there are no spelling or grammatical errors.
Ultimately, these techniques should result in faster resolution and action from your counterparts as you write expressively and become more proficient in conveying your message with clarity.

This workshop is intended to help you become a better speaker and presenter in front of a live audience or online; during a round-table meeting; or on a one-to-one basis.
